Terms of Service
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Welcome to Hearabout, a community events calendar for the web and iOS (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
Using Hearabout
You may browse events without an account. Some features — posting events, subscribing to organizations, or claiming an organization listing — require signing in. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Content you post
When you post an event or other content, you keep ownership of it, and you grant Hearabout a non-exclusive license to display and distribute it as part of the Service. You agree to post only content you have the right to share, and you agree not to post content that is unlawful, misleading, spam, or harassing. Event listings should describe real events, accurately.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe harm the Service or its users.
Event information
Event listings are provided by community members, organizations, and public sources. We work to keep listings accurate, but events change — times, locations, and details may be out of date or incorrect. Always confirm important details with the event organizer. Hearabout is not responsible for the events themselves; attending an event is at your own discretion.
Organization listings and claims
Organization pages may be created from public information. If you claim an organization, you represent that you are authorized to act on its behalf. Claims are reviewed and may be declined.
Third-party services
The Service may link to third-party sites and services (for example, directions, ticketing, or an organizer’s website). Those services have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hearabout will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Ending your account
You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and data by following our data deletion instructions. We may suspend or end access to the Service for accounts that violate these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version here. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
